Description Notes

Diagram depicting the geology of the Nar Valley, King’s Lynn. Drawn in black. There are two diagrams, one a map, the other labelled ‘NAR VALLEY FRESHWATER BEDS DIAGRAMMATIC CROSS SECTION’. There is a key on the left to the various shadings used to portray different types of geological structure. The key is for: ‘Alluvium etc.’, ‘Gipping outwash gravel (Rose Diag. 1)’, ‘Nar Valley Clay’, ‘Lowestoft Till (Rose Diag. 2)’, and ‘Cretaceous’. There is a grid around the top map.
Inscription at the top of the chart.
Two paper compasses are stuck to the top map.
