Diagram depicting the geological history of Gymnosperms. Chart is draawn in black, and coloured blue in parts. Down the left it is labelled by geological eras and periods. These are: ‘CAINOZOIC’, ‘MESOZOIC’, ‘PALAEOZOIC’, and ‘QUATERNARY’, ‘CRETACEOUS’, ‘JURASSIC’, ‘TRIASSIC’, ‘PERMIAN’, ‘CARBONIFEROUS’, ‘DEVONIAN’, and ‘SILURIAN’. There are also numbers on this side, from 1*10 to the power 6, to 313*10 to the power 6. The top of the chart is labelled ‘CYCADOPSIA’, ‘CONIFEROPSIDA’ and ‘GNETOPSIDA’.
