Description Notes

Chart showing Pollen diagrams from the Nar Valley, King’s Lynn. Three charts, although all correspond to one scale at the very bottom of the diagrams. This reads: ‘Betula’, ‘Pinus’, ‘Ulmus’, ‘Quercus’, ‘Tilia’, ‘Alnus’, ‘Picea’, ‘Abies’, ‘Corglus’, and ‘Cyperaceae’. Above each of these names is a scale from 0 up to 250. Up the left hand side of each chart is a scale from 34 to 42 (top), 16 to 22 (middle), and 16 to 20 (bottom). This scale is in FT. O.D.. Also at that side are the letters ‘N.V.C.’ for the top two diagrams, and ‘N.V.F.W. Beds’ for the bottom one. On the right hand side of each chart there is P.D.3, P.D.2, and P.D.1 (working down). Also a zone number is given: I, IIA, IIB, IIC, IID, or III.
All labels are written in black.
