Description Notes

Diagram depicting Pinus: wood, long. section. Diagram is printed, but not in colour. It is labelled by the letters ‘a’ to ‘i’,’l’ to ‘n’, ‘q’, ‘H.=C.’, ‘H.=P.’ and ‘J.=Gr.’. There is no key on the chart. The inscriptions and labels are all printed, except ‘Pinus’, which is written. The inscriptions are in the top right corner and across the bottom of the chart.
Reference numbers are in the bottom left and bottom right corners. The number in the bottom left corner is written on a label which has been stuck to the chart.
Pencil notation at the top and bottom of the chart.
