Description Notes

Electrometer. Grey metal cylinder, open bottom. Top is covered by a plastic (glass?) disc. Two terminals on top, one red, one black. From the red terminal a metal plate extends, and is connected to a plastic-surrounding-metal push-button. When depressed, the button links the terminal to a metal rod which is suspended in a prism, and extends freely into the centre of the metal case. The other end of the rod extends from the prism into the centre of a hole in a metal block which is attached to the top of the case. Metal screw goes through the block and into the hole to secure the micrometer eyepiece which fits here. Micrometer eyepiece is a metal tube, with lenses at both ends. Metal clip attached round body. Scale is 0 to .5, by .1, subdivided to .05.
Two grey metal circular bases; two plastic cylinders. Cardboard box.

Condition: good; complete.
