Description Notes

student microscope (No 2) in box with instructions. Made by Signalling Equipment Ltd 20th Century.

The inside of the box contains corrugated card cut in relief to hold the shape of the microscope and forceps. Glass slides are provided and housed within a separate card compartment to the microscope. The box itself is inscribed as above and also details other Signalling Equipment Ltd products.

The instruction leaflet printed in black on white paper includes experiments to carry out with the microscope and on the last page advertisements for other products in the form of pictures.

The microscope has a mirror, two footed stand, a stage, slide holders, one eyepiece and one objective. It adjusts by sliding the barrel containing the eyepiece and objective up and down its housing.
