Print, humorous composite caricature, entitled “A Geometrician”, published by William Bernard Cooke, English, 1829.

Published 1st June 1829. Image of “human form” composed of instruments of geometry. Head formed by a globe standing on atlas shoulders, also a quill and ruler present. Below the image is a comic poem by Thomas Hood, which reads:

“Friend of the Young Idea, in plane Geometry,--
He teaches it to shoot,-- by TRIGGER-nometry!”

Mounted onto thick paper and placed in a card mount.
