Description Notes

Camera microscope, with projection apparatus. By Cooke, Troughton and Simms, of York.

Large base with a tall column numbered 2 -28 on which the camera is supported and adjustable from two braces; also on main base is a smaller platform on which is mounted a 13 inch column and an angled mirror; column supports a large substage condenser and a sliding stage with two clips and a rack and pinion focussing movement; an arm from the top of this column joins the lens of the camera; here there is a shutter release cable and button; above is a bellows which connect to the upper part of the camera; this consists of a hooded periscope viewer and a removable frosted glass plate mounted in a wooden frame. A lever at the side adjusts the angle of the mirror so that the magnified image can be viewed or photographed. A small spanner is tied to the stage.
