2nd lens; on lens cap “WRAY LONDON” around the aperture is inscribed; “”SUPAR” F.4.5 WRAY. LONDON. NO69933 3 1/4in”
3rd lens; around the outer part of the aperture is inscribed “Made by TAYLOR, TAYLOR & HOBSON Ltd England Pat No 422246 2.5 4 5.6 8 11 16. Around the inside of the aperture is inscribed “ COOKE ANASTIGMAT SPECIAL 12 1/2mm. f/ 2.5 No 382678”.
4th lens; around the outer part of the aperture is inscribed "Made by TAYLOR, TAYLOR & HOBSON Ltd England 27 4 5 6 8 11 16”.
Around the inner part of the aperture is inscribed “COOKE ANASTIGMAT SPECIAL 1 INCH f/.2.7 No382501.”

Description Notes

Wooden box containing four objective lenses for a camera microscope. Two by Wray, London and two by Taylor Taylor & Hobson Ltd. Also in the box is a small glass phial with a cork lid, the lid of a small leather box and a brass threaded ring. It is probable that there is a missing lens.

The two Wray lenses have lens caps, one is leather and one is plastic.
