Donated on or before 24/01/2003. The donor collected the instruments over many years, predominantly from private sales, some were obtained direct from the manufacturers who were going to throw them out.

Description Notes

Black box unit with a front end fascia which is bowed in the centre and contains a glazed window. Inside the window is a card scale marking from 0 - 100˚c with a moving pin which slides across the scale. Above the bowed window is a tin plate with the company name “ETHER” written on it, below the bowed window is an adjustable zero screw. Near the base of the unit on one side are a positive and a negative terminal with plastic screw covers. Between the two terminals is an on/off switch. There is a rubber seal around the base of the unit which has split in places.
