Description Notes

Combined compass and clinometer made by Meridian with three extra accessories. The main unit folds out to expose a simple swing clinometer and a liquid filled prismatic compass. The silvered compass dial is numbered 0˚ - 360˚ on the inner scale and 0˚ - 360˚ on the outer scale which is printed back-to-front for use with the prism viewer. The prism is mounted over the compass opposite a fold-down sight with a cross-hair. There is also a round bubble level. On the opposite leaf the swing compass clinometer is marked 90˚-0˚-90˚ with a more detailed large scale marking 15˚ - 0˚ - 15˚. In the side of the clinometer leaf are two lens windows which have scales on them.

There is a detachable black rule which comes apart into two pieces and runs from 0 - 70mm. There is also a seperate sector with a moveable arm whith a scale which runs 0˚ - 90˚ - 0˚. There is also a separate wooden rule which runs from 0 - 15cm.

The instrument comes in a leather carry case designed to attatch to a belt.
