Description Notes
British military prismatic compass with liquid suspended compass face. The lid has a glass window in which is set a cross-hair for use as a sight. The outer scale is marked 1 - 36 and the inner scale on the moveable compass face is marked 0 - 360˚ back to front for use with the prism viewer. The prism is suspended on a pivot which allows it to be folded away when not in use. The outside ofthe case is marked with compass points. There is a shackle and suspension loop.
The compass comes with a leather carry case which has Brian Harland’s initials “W.B.H” stamped on the front.
Condition: good to fair, the compass has been heavily used and the paint has flaked away in areas.
