Small graticule grid; 1957

Square glass plate with 50mm by 60mm grid, ruled in mm. The transparent grid of the graticule is put onto a map and the grid reference is read off.

Brian Harland bought object from Hawksley & Sons, Ltd., 17 New Cavendish Street, London, W1. In card box, lined with tissue paper, and labelled 'Ilford contact lantern plate'.

Box also contains invoice for purchase of graticule grid from Hawksley & Sons on 16th January 1957.
