Description Notes

black cast iron tempertature indicator with pivoting metal handle and large cast metal zero adjusting knob with serrated hand grip. There is a glazed window at the front of the instrument to reveal the pointer, there is no marked scale. Two wires lead out from the instrument, one attatched to a screw terminal.

This is an early version of this instrument dating from around 1915, this is evident in its early pivoted movement, cast metal case, large zero adjusting knob and lack of a letter prefix on the serial. Aquired in conjunction with Wh. 5980 and wh. 5981 to illustrate the instruments development.
