Description Notes

black cast iron tempertature indicator with pivoting metal handle. Zero adjuster is operated using a square allen key under a pivoting metal disc. There is a glazed window at the front of the instrument to reveal the pointer, there is no marked scale. There are two terminals (one red) with screw caps on each side of the instrument.

This instrument dates from around 1923, this is evident in its cast metal case and allen key zero adjustment which is a leter addition to Wh. 5979 Aquired in conjunction with Wh. 5979 and wh. 5981 to illustrate the instruments development.
