Transferred by Estate Management and Building Services, University of Cambridge, on or before 08/04/2004. Previously the property of the now-defunct School of Agriculture at the University, these microscopes (5992, 5993, 5994) were discovered along with 11 others in a cupboard in the Cockroft lecture theatre.

Description Notes

Black-painted Watson microscope; rounded claw foot; arched limb; swinging plano-concave mirror on bar from limb; sub stage condenser with adjustable iris and pivoting diaphragm; square stage with two stage clips; double pinion coarse focus; fine focus on limb; eyepiece (10x magnification); triple nose-piece with two objectives present (labelled 2/3 and 1/6, and for x10 and x42 magnification).

Condition: good; complete.
