Description Notes

Geared electrical motor by C. F. Palmer, London

The main motor in encased in a black-painted cylinder which has two red and two black plastic coated wires coming out of it that connect to the main electrical cable, which is comprised of three interwoven ropes covering the wiring. The plug is a small circular black plastic three pronged plug. On the base is a black plastic switch with 'on' and 'off' positions.

The axel coming out of the cylinder meets a cogged wheel that drives another axel, to which are attached two geared wheels. A green-painted metal covering protects the cogs. The larger steel wheel is 227mm in diameter with six spokes. The smaller brass wheel is comprised of four wheels of 113mm, 86mm, 60mm and 34mm.

The motor and wheels are mounted on a green-painted iron(?) base, which tself screws down onto a wooden block mounted with four rubber feet.
