Description Notes
stereographic net on card; mid 20th century
Black ink on brown card with cellotape on short edges and reverse. The stereographic projection is a 5 inch diameter Wulff net with a pin hole poked through the middle of the projection, the circumference of a drawing pin has been indented onto the reverse around the hole.
The small circles around the projection are graduated 90°-0°-90°-0°-90° by 2° and marked every 10° in print. In handwriting a second graduation runs with markings at 0°, 20°, 40°, 60°, 120°, 140°, 160°, 180°, 200°, 220°, 240°, 300°, 320°, 340°. The leaps occur where the projection touches the edges of the card. From the printed graduation both sections 10°-0°-10° are folded over the edge and onto the reverse of the card.
Condition: fair; complete
