Description Notes

blowpipe set for chemical analysis, in a felt-lined case, to the design of Dr. J. Hirschwald. Contains three coloured glass filters; a thin metal strand, bent into a hook at one end; a pair of tweezers, with a slider to lock them; a small horn magnifier; a large pair of wire cutters; a small glass phial, stoppered with a cork, which contains a metal plate and wire, and which has a half-torn label; a larger pair of tweezers; a piece of polished steel, sharpened at both ends; four parts of the blowpipe apparatus, one of which has an ivory handle, one a mahogany handle.

Condition: good (complete).
