Zoological wallchart depicting the head of a gnat from above and the mouth parts of the lepidoptera, an order of the insecta class that contains butterflies and moths.

The diagrams are hand painted in monochrome with major anatomical parts labeled.

The diagram has the zoology department number 268 written on the back.

This diagram has a catalogue card with associated image stored in the zoological teaching diagram catalogue.

Description
This diagrams is part of a collection of around 100 zoological illustrations which were donated from the Department of Zoology in 2006. The diagrams were used for teaching, and were hand drawn. All of the diagrams are very large, so that in lectures all the students could easily see them.
