Description Notes
Zinc Oxide tape and acid bottle used by Brian Harland for numbering samples.
Zinc oxide tape consists of single spool of adhesive plaster tape (almost depleted) inside circular tin case. Inside spool slides out of outside case to reveal plaster spool. Case is coloured cream and red, and contains small section of plaster stuck to outside.
Acid bottle is made of semi-opaque white plastic, with screw cap over dropper end.
Notes provided with original bequest by Brian Harland indicate that these two items were used together for “numbering samples” - presumably this means rock samples taken while surveying.
