Description Notes

Zoological wall chart depicting various anatomical perspectives of the anodon. The first diagram is a view of T.S. behind foot. The second diagram is T.S. through foot. The third diagram is a lateral view of the anodon identifying the inhalent siphon, visceral ganglia, inner gill, visceral commisure, gonad, excretory opening, good, pedal ganglia, mouth, cerebral ganglia, A. Adductor, liver, A. Aorta, stomach, ventricle, P. Aorta, P. Adductor, recutm and exhalent siphon.

The last two diagrams depict the Glochidium larva.

The diagram is hand painted and in colour.

There is an inscription in the right hand corner of J.F.H. and the year 1923.

Description
This diagrams is part of a collection of around 100 zoological illustrations which were donated from the Department of Zoology in 2006. The diagrams were used for teaching, and were hand drawn. All of the diagrams are very large, so that in lectures all the students could easily see them.
