Description Notes
Card planisphere; four outer scales, constituting “A Table [...] of the Mean Time [...] of New Moon in [...] January New Stile [...] From 1763 [...] to 1800”, two columns, listing year, day and hour; scale for “Place of the Moons [sic] Node, from 1763, to 1910” running on the inner scale from 1763 to 1799, and on the outer from 1800 to 1910, the two separated by a date scale, subdivided by days; planisphere, with a rotating scale with various scales; index arms for the Moon’s node, the Moon’s declination, and the Sun’s declination; inner volvelles for the hour, and for the tide times; two off-cuts of the same print used for padding. The print has been struck twice: once with the astronomical information, and once with the Royal dedication (the latter is shallower). Numbered 110 in the bottom-right corner; inscribed “T. Blake Sculp[sit] [...] Shoe Lane, Holborn” just under the outer scale.
