Full title: Continental Drift: A Symposium; being a symposium on the present status of the continental drift hypothesis, held in the Geology Department of the University of Tasmania, in March, 1956. Convener: S. Warren Carey, Professor of Geology, University of Tasmania. First edition 1958, reprinted July 1959. Stapled binding, with pictorial card wraps. Numerous diagrams and plates (3 in colour, one folding). S. Warren Carey’s own paper, which was the first publication of the plate tectonic theory of continental drift, occupies pp. 177–355, and is entitled ‘A tectonic approach to continental drift’.
Condition: fair to good; text complete (rear cover missing; loss to the corners of the last page; front cover missing corners, yellowed; spine worn; internally very good condition).
