Wax model of a starfish embryo. Number 3 of a series of 11 models showing the development of the starfish embryo. Interior exposed.
Wax model in a cardboard box, lined with cotton wool. The model is in a box with numbers 1 and 2 of the series.
Originally modelled by Ziegler.Adolf after the plates of Ludwig.Hubert.
Condition: good; complete.

Ziegler produced this series the old way, from the drawings and preparations of collaborating zoologist Hubert Ludwig. Ludwig approved the series and is advertised as the author to give it scientific credibility.
