Development of the chick (Gallus ), no. 12.
Wax model of Gallus embryo. Number 12 of a series of 23 models showing the development of the chick embryo. Depicts His stage 9, age 4 days.
The model is mounted on a wire attached to a wooden handle. It is in a box with number 13 from the set. Cardboard box, lined with cotton wool.
Scale: 40 x linear magnification.
Originals modelled by His.Wilhelm in collaboration with Ziegler.Adolf.

Condition: fair (appears to have been mended around middle); complete.
