Development of the chick (Gallus ), no. 1.
Wax model of Gallus embryo. Number 1 of a series of 23 models showing the development of the chick embryo. Depicts His stage 3, age 18d.
The model is mounted in gold and black wood frame, held by metal pins and backed with card, on a black painted, numbered wood base.
Scale: 40 x linear magnification.
Originals modelled by His.Wilhelm in collaboration with Ziegler.Adolf.

Condition: fair (some cracks); incomplete (part of frame and model missing).
