Development of the chick (Gallus ), no. 4.
Wax model of Gallus embryo. Number 4 of a series of 23 models showing the development of the chick embryo. Depicts His stage 5, age 2 days; anterior cut away.
The model is mounted in gold and black wood frame, held by metal pins and backed with card, on a black painted, numbered wood base.
Scale: 40 x linear magnification.
Originals modelled by His.Wilhelm in collaboration with Ziegler.Adolf.
Condition: fair; incomplete (piece of model missing).
