Description Notes

Development of the chick (Gallus ), no. 21.
Wax model of Gallus embryo heart. Number 21 of a series of 23 models showing the development of the chick embryo. Numbers 14-23 may not originally have been in the same set as numbers 1-13. Depicts His stage 9, age 4 days.
The model is mounted on wire, attached to a wooden handle. The model is in a box with number 18, 19 and 20 of the set. Cardboard box, lined with cloth. Paper label in the box, although there is no individual number label as for all the other models (see y.15).
Scale: 40 x linear magnification.
