Mezzotint ’Dr. Joseph Dalton Hooker F. R. S. in the Rhododendron Region of the Himalayas’, by William Walker after Frank Stone, English, c. 1854.

Dr. Hooker seated and looking to the left is offered gifts of rhododendrons by kneeling women surrounding him. A man on the right surveys the scene, in the background the Himalayas can be seen. Unsigned, in very good condition. White border around mezzotint is a little dirty.

Condition: good, complete.
