Simple theodolite with tripod stand, by Richard Glynne, English, early-eighteenth century. On circular scale, three of four sighting vanes are missing; one of two sighting arms is bent. Circular scale measured at every 10 degrees up to 360o; also indented at every 1o and every 2o. Scale is inscribed ‘R. Glynne Fecit’. Underside of scale has 3 fixtures, one of which is snapped.

Incomplete.
