Description Notes

Printed broadside advertisement for Malby’s modern 18- and 12- inch globes, showing the range of stock, from the cheapest ‘reference globes’ and ‘slate globes’ for geography students (from 1 guinea) to the 18-inch globe with Spanish mahogany furniture, at 15 guineas. Advertises 2 different reference and slate globes in different styles of furniture, in stained wood, mahogany or Spanish mahogany. Reference globe and all furnitures come in 12 and 18 inch; slate globe comes in 3 different sizes: 18, 12 and 9 inch.
Reads: “ The Celestial Globes may be had with or without the figures of the Constellation. The Publishers deem it necessary to inform the public that the Constellations are printed in a different color from the important mattes consequently they do not create that confusion necessarily attendant on their introduction on their Globes. The Terrestrial Globes are Compiled from the latest and most authentic sources they will also contain a Table of the estimated Population of every Country in the World by G.L. Brent Fellow of the Statistical Society of London. “
In very good condition, but due to age and nature of the paper it is obviously very fragile. It has discoloured a little and is a little torn around the edge in some areas. Complete.
