Card armillary sphere in kit form (unmade), made by Rdo. P. Juan Camp, published by I.G. Seix y Barral Hnos., S. A., Spanish, c. 1920.
Unmade card armillary sphere kit in envelope sleeve. Envelope/sleeve labelled ‘Esfera Armilar’ and shows picture of completed, labelled armillary sphere. 15 parts are labelled on the front. The back of the sleeve lists instructions, all in Spanish, in the centre rectangle. Around this are advertisements for different kits, including the armillary sphere here. Other advertisements are for ‘Ejercicios de Geograpia’, ‘Ejercicios Graficos de Geografia Fisica’, ‘Cuadernos Geograficos’, ‘Graficas de Geografia’, ‘Planisferio mudo’, ‘Esfera Armilar’, ‘El Secreto los Colores (Coleccion de 18 modelos)’, ‘Trabajos mannales y Juegos infantiles’, ‘La Tejedora’, ‘El Bordado de BeBe’, ‘Encuadernacion’, Figuras Geometricas’, ‘Constructor’.
Inside are two lithographed sheets with 15 cut-out pieces (uncut). Printed and coloured on both sides of both sheets.
Contents in good condition, a little yellowed and foxxed. Sleeve in fair condition, much more yellowed, foxxed and a little worn. Sleeve, in particular, is thin and fragile.

Description
This c. 1920 do-it-yourself armillary sphere comes with 15 cardboard pieces and short instructions to the maker for guidance. Designed by Reverend Father Juan Camp, these armillary spheres were designed to be simple to put together for students.
