Cell division model (one of 13), by Louis M. Meusel, German, c. 1920.
One of a set of 13 cell division models, by Louis M. Meusel. Model depicts a single cell in prophase and is assumedly the fifth model in the sequence. Model shows the spindle forming (and perhaps the chromosones moving towards the centre?). Model is made of plaster and ebonized wooden stand. Small mark on the stand where a numbered sticker has come away (previously was labelled with its number in the sequence).
In good condition, complete.
