Cell division model (one of 13), by Louis M. Meusel, German, c. 1920.

One of a set of 13 cell division models, by Louis M. Meusel. Model depicts a single cell in metaphase and is assumedly the sixth model in the sequence. Model shows the chromosones lining up along metaphase plate and cell stretching at either side where spindle fibres join centrosome at two opposite ends of cell. Model is made of plaster and ebonized wooden stand. Small mark on the stand where a numbered sticker has come away (previously was labelled with its number in the sequence).

In good condition, complete.
