Cell division model (one of 13), by Louis M. Meusel, German, c. 1920.

One of a set of 13 cell division models, by Louis M. Meusel. Model depicts a single cell in metaphase and is the seventh model in the sequence. Model shows the chromosones, previously lined up along metaphase plate, beginning to move towards each side of the cell as pulled by the spindle fibres. Model is made of plaster and ebonized wooden stand. This stand is numbered with a sticker labelled '7'.

In good condition, complete.
