Horary quadrant, paper-on-wood, by Henry Sutton [with later modification to Gregorian calendar], English, 1755 (c).

Wooden quadrant with paper scales pasted on to both sides. One side is a horary quadrant. The other side is a latitude quadrant, almanac, etc. Plumb bob missing but brass stud remains; sights also missing, although holes also remain.

"New Stile" inscriptions indicates that the printing plate has been corrected for the Gregorian calendar, and so this instrument is a reissue printed after 1752 using Sutton's original plate, with modified calendar scale.
