Description Notes

Chemistry set no. 2, by A.C. Gilbert Co., U.S.A., c. 1936

Blue tin Chemistry set by Gilbert. Tin box has two top shelves and a yellow test tube holder on left side and a metal bar across the right side. Comes with instruction booklet, in right side of case as well as two pieces of cardboard. Top left shelf contains two Gilbert envelopes, three different metal spatulas, a test tube holder, a plastic lid with pipette and a Perry's Pharmacy bottle. Second shelf contains seven glass bottles, six of which are Gilbert-branded; one of which is branded Mercuro Chrome. The bottom of the box has a yellow metal test tube holder fitted with space for 12 test tubes. This space includes three corked Gilbert-branded test tubes, two empty unstoppered test tubes, one corked empty test tube, one corked empty test tube with glass tube, a wax candle (slightly bent), some string and a small cardboard tube.

In good/fair condition.
