Description Notes
Horizontal dial, by Henry Sutton, English, 1657, on later marble base.
Octagonal bronze sun dial, with Roman numerals marking out the hours and a single star in the spacing between each hour. Cut out fret work decorates the triangular gnomon. Eight brass pins, one in each corner, hold it in place to a (more modern) marble base. The marble base is red and white in colour and stepped in shape. It has four circular brass feet which raise it off the ground.
In good condition. There are some small circular white marks on the underside of the base and a slight dark indent in the Bronze dial face in-between the denominations five and six.
