The teaching diagram is hand-painted and in colour. It shows the whole Lucernaridae, plus four cross sections.

Description
Lucernaridae are a type of jellyfish or medusa, which are invertebrates. This diagram was used for teaching at the University of Cambridge's Department of Zoology in the 1910s-1920s. It is large so that many students could see it from a distance.
