Description Notes
Early achromatic microscope, attributed to Tully, Engish, 1825 (c).
Brass microscope with several attachments. The microscope sits on three feet, two of which have screws and thin struts attached to their edges. These struts rise to almost the full height of the microscope, where they can be pinned together with the main body of the microscope to keep this in place. The main body of the microscope is mounted on a central column via a square column with rack work along its outer side. On this square column, there is a large mirror, substage condenser, a further stage with X-Y control, an eyepiece with stabilising telescopic rods to the rear with a single achromatic objective and a single simple objective.
