Description Notes

"Stypven" Russell Viper Venom, by Burroughs Wellcome and Company, English, 1930s.

Two small vials, in a red cardboard box. The first vial appears to be empty, is labelled as Russell Viper Venom, and has a red-brown cap. The second vial still has liquid, and its label has come loose. Instructions in the Wellcome Collection indicate that it is distilled water with 0.5% phenol. Both vials have separate surrounds of corrugated cardboard. The box is red, with writing on all sides apart from the bottom. It has a corrugated cardboard inner, and a small instruction leaflet.
