Description Notes

Filter tube, from the Howard Glassware Collection, believed to have been used to distill perfume oil, 1950s. On the side of the main body is a brand logo and the writing "6x1". The logo and marking appear in a catalogue from 1945 by Technico, with the object being a filter tube, Allihn type, for mercury. A white disc is seen near the thin tube at the bottom of the main body. This disc is a filter for the mercury, which filtered through using gravity and its own weight.
