Description Notes

Syringe plunger, from the Howard Glassware Collection, believed to have been used to distill perfume oil, 1950s. Both ends of the solid glass tube feature two discs, a smaller and larger one. The large disc likely was used to push down on the liquid in the syringe. The smaller disc was likely to keep the plunger steady in the syringe tube, and give a way of warning the operator when it came fully out or depressed.
