Description Notes

Bottle, from the Howard Glassware Collection, believed to have been used to distill perfume oil, 1950s. A dark red mostly opaque short round cylindrical bottle with a seized lid ending in a short neck topped with a rubber bottle. Inside the bottle is a wire triangle with a wire gauze loose above it. Maybe have been used in conjunction with a heat unit such as a Bunsen burner. A short Bunsen may have been placed at the bottom of the jar with the gauze above it suspended by the metal triangle. In order to heat or cool down whatever it was heating, the lid could be removed/added along with the stopper.
