Description Notes

The wooden base supports a U-shaped glass tube fixed to graduated wooden standards (each divided 0 - 20 [cm] numbered by 1 subdivided to 0.1) and topped with cylindrical hollow brass canisters. A central solid glass pillar rides on a wood block moving against an equal horizontal scale divided 10 - 0 - 10 numbered by 5 subdivided to 0.2 (1 = 5mm) and is topped with a large hollow brass canister. Each canister is painted with lampblack on one side and white enamel on the other. Top of each canister is topped by a short tube plugged by a cork)
