Description Notes

box of 36 small sample jars of organic salts used as drugs in medicine; made by Edward Gressler; 1/4 20th century.

Fitted wooden box lined with blue silk and blue velvet, with brass clasps (one broken) contains set of 36 numbered jars of organic salts (one jar missing, replaced by small paper bag); paper table in lid with names of salts. Box is paper covered with stamped decoration on lid.

Found with sheet of paper (possibly unrelated), titled ‘Solar Phosphori, from Dr. Schuchardt’.

Condition fair (paper hinge breaking); incomplete (one jar missing - replaced by small paper bag)
