Description Notes

Mahogany base carrying seven brass terminals and central electromagnet, topped by brass disc with vibrating bar. Knurled screw near base adjusts position of vibrating bar stops relative to the magnet. Amplitude of vibrations adjusted by brass screws to either side of end of bar. Terminals lettered D, D, S, T, M, U, U. Central section covered by brass cylinder with hinged lid and glazed top. Cylinder carries inscription near knurled screw: ‘Spacing Marking’.

Condition fair (surface heavily tarnished, minor nicks and scratches; wooden base broken); complete.
