Description Notes

Brass with steel half-beam; swan’s neck beam end; self-locating steel knife-edge in ‘U’ shaped bearings. Brass half-beam graduated 96 - 304 by 24 (pounds per Coumb?) and 24 - 76 by 6 to 1 (lbs per bushel?) with sliding brass counter weight. Turned brass pillar on flat foot shaped and stamped. Cylindrical brass bucket with steel hook. [Accession register mentions snakeskin case - missing.]

Condition good; incomplete (case missing).
