Description Notes
Unequal beam with diamond shaped cross-section; graduated [0] - [6], subdivided to 1/12 and 1/24 on upper scale; graduated [0] - [20], subdivided to 1/2. [see history file]. Octagonal counterpoise with suspension aperture but ring missing; decorated with punched ring and dot motifs. Short end of beam with rectangular section decorated with punched patterns. 3 knife edges, all double. The load shears turn over the end with ring bearing to two jointed hooks. 2 gallows, one on either side, with rotating ring aperture and open hook above, with indicator. Anthropomorphic head terminates both suspension hooks.
Condition good; complete.
